In short the answer is no, not in a direct manner anyway. The skin condition is however linked to genetics of one’s family or parent’s genetics and therefore may be passed down in one’s hereditary makeup.

The environment, or all sorts of triggers of many different kinds, such as chemical substances, or a food type sensitivity, dust or pollens, and many more irritants, and all these and more can affect and temporarily flare-up this condition and sometimes cause it to be severe in nature.

The reason many people no doubt get concerned about exposure and the particular question “is eczema contagious?” is the fact that this condition can end up in the worst places such as the face area which lends to being undesirable as far as looks and nobody wants to get red patches or a skin condition such as eczema on their face.

As of now the prevention treatment for eczema is to avoid the triggers and increase moisturizing.

Eczema can be such an unsightly problem, hence one of the reasons that people wonder as well as sometimes ask the question ” Is eczema contagious?” Answer is ”No.”

    This is a helpful page. The worst bit about eczema is the lack of sleep. The itching wakes you up thoughout the night
